Meet my cousin and oldest friend, Rachael Currie.
Rachael came to Little Rock last month on a whim, and we spent a few days hanging out and catching up, mostly about our newly established careers and being in business for ourselves. Rachael is a production designer, and her eye is incredible. I knew I wanted to use her to help me get some new head shots of myself that I needed for a couple different things. I am a total sucker for metallics so I asked her to help arrange a background using some cool copper pieces I have around my house. My idea wasn't really working until the professional dumpster diver zeroed in on this piece of plywood next to my garage that I use to protect the driveway when I spray paint. I was skeptical, but it worked!
That's why she gets paid the big bucks.
Here are some of the favorites from our morning together, sharing clothes just like the good old days.
And, yes, once I remembered the gold doors at the Arkansas State Capitol it totally mooted our efforts to jerry-rig a metallic background. Hee hee.
